Families & Carers Together in Bucks (FACT)
About Us:
FACT Bucks is the Parent Carer Forum for Buckinghamshire, as required by the Children and Families Act 2014. Parent Carer Forums are representative local groups of parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities who work alongside local authorities, education, health and other service providers to ensure the services they plan, commission and deliver meet the needs of children and families. We do this through promoting parent/carer participation and co-production.
The role of Forums has expanded over the last decade. The Trustees have decided that it is now important to offer this as a paid role to grow the influence of parents and carers in the development and delivery of services for SEND CYP.
The Role: Are you interested in co-production and advocacy with the county council and other agencies to make positive changes for children and young people with disabilities and additional across education, health and social care sectors?
We are looking for someone who will use their passion for change in the SEND landscape and has aptitude to co-ordinate and lead a team of parents. The role is a mixture of strategic and operational tasks, overseeing the objectives and targets of the PCF. We would like to hear from you if you have the aptitude for this role but do not necessarily have the experience.

- We welcome applications from people with lived experience of caring for a child with SEND in Buckinghamshire.
- Contracted role for 28 hours/month at £15/hour. To be reviewed annually.
- Home-based with occasional travel within Buckinghamshire.
